Acupuncture for Fertility – Some of the Benefits:

Acupuncture for Fertility – What The Research Says:

Over the years, plenty of research has gone into finding what the real truth behind fertility and acupuncture is. According to a review undertaken by researchers at the University of Western Sydney: ‘Acupuncture And Women’s Health: An Overview Of The Role Of Acupuncture And Its Clinical Management In Women’s Reproductive Health,’ there are several notable areas in which acupuncture can be shown to support fertility.  Researchers Suzanne Cochrane, Caroline A Smith, Alphia Possamai-Inesedy, and Alan Bensoussan, conducted the review of over 300 documents.  They found that, alongside IVF treatment, the use of acupuncture could ‘regulate uterine and ovarian blood flow’ creating a thicker uterine wall, thus improving the chance of fertility in the first place.

It was also concluded that “it is logical to hypothesize that acupuncture may positively influence ovulation and fertility.”

Acupuncture may also relieve stress.  Stress impacts negatively on fertility, therefore this is another way in which acupuncture may improve fertility.
